Tell Me Something Good
(NOTE: Based on time elapsed since the posting of this entry, the BS-o-meter calculates this is 14.472% likely to be something that Ferrett now regrets.)
So I haven’t really been around the Internet in, oh, two weeks.
…what’s up with you?
Tell me one thing that’s recent and awesome in your life. I’d like to know. (And while “Ferrett surviving” is a terribly sweet answer, it doesn’t count. Has to be something else.)
about to launch my own webcomic, moving into a house this week and finally have a yard again. WOO!
I sold two books! (Welcome back.)
I didn’t see this until now! YOU ARE AWESOME!
I’m spending the weekend in Vegas at a spa-weekend/writing retreat with several of our VP buddies, as well as other worthies. Excited to see friends and buckle my ass into a chair to pound out some words 🙂
My 3 year old wrote her name for the first time! Woohoo! She spells Holly HO|||. But that is pretty good for a three year old.
I got my first actual review on my book from a reader on Amazon – and I’m not related to them in any way! Short little review, but I’m ridiculously pleased with it.
Also, my oldest graduated Navy Boot Camp at the end of December and has started the Nuke Tech program. Currently feeling that cautious sigh of relief that comes from thinking maybe your progeny might have a plan for the future!
I will be heading the community aspect of a new game title that we have coming out soon. It’s our largest title ever in terms on concept and cost and it involves working with some amazing teams. I know I’ll be stressed but it will be the exciting good kind of stress!
I started the second semester of my graduate program yesterday, and I’m making good progress toward graduation. I’ve also been dating Dante for a year now, and I’m coming up on a year with (redacted). My 5th wedding anniversary with Mike is in June. It’s very exciting, and I’m a very happy kitten.
I’d love to share something awesome with you, kiddo, but life has been in rather a rough patch here of late. Trying hard to think of something awesome, but honestly–not much is coming to mind. This too shall pass…
I was handed leadership of the local Polyamory group. So I’m getting to experience my first leadership role in anything lifestyle related. Yay!
Hey, I’m back in Ann Arbor in my fabulous cohousing home! Living with approximately 300 boxes and one very freaked out little black cat. 😉
Also, ConFusion was wonderful, though it was very deficient in Ferrett, sadly.
Yay! I’m glad you’re back in place.
I am buying a house for my family, and I’m doing it right this time.
My best friend(/the girl I’ve been in love with for five years but haven’t spoken to in three) suddenly invited herself over to visit me, and thus destroyed my plans of locking myself up and being self-destructing and depressed. In all the time I’ve known her, I think that’s the first case of good timing she’s had. Today, I have gotten out of bed, showered, cleaned up my room and taken my meds, all in one day.
My coworkers gave me a pile of groceries to help me with my chemo recovery, and the pile included fresh raspberries and blueberries.
Then my Love came over last night and turned those raspberries and blueberries into raspberry sorbet and blueberry sorbet.
Also, I am hanging out with my cats on the couch, and I have the Internet to read.
Tomorrow, another room of 40 year old shag carpet is going to be replaced with nice smooth new cherry wood printed laminate. Yay!
