This was the starting lineup.  From left to right:   Gabe, Shez, Linda, Bettyann (the Justice Of The Peace, whom we loved), Best Man Tommy, and Jim "Old Man" Crocker, looking tres natty in his fabu forties-style suit.  I hope that I'll look that good at his wedding on October 16th.

We had a moment of panic when it turned out we couldn't walk down the stairs side by side, but in a true moment of grace such as klutzes like she and I don't usually have, we managed this compromise smoothly.  I felt elegant.  It felt good.

This is my favorite picture of the whole thing, but boy do I look a lot more sardonic than I feel.  (g)

CereStairs.jpg (31949 bytes) And there we walk.  Wheee!
CereGroomWalk.jpg (25389 bytes) But how did I feel otherwise?  Surprisingly calm.  I didn't have to say anything.   Yet.  And the feeling of her arm around mine was just delightful.  She's so wonderful, she really is.

I look fat in this picture.   Ick.  Like a big fat racehorse.  And with the past three pictures, it's "There they are now — comin' round the bend it's FATBUTT in first place, followed by SWEETIE IN A BLACK DRESS!  And it looks like FATBUTT'S in the lead, but no! SWEETIE'S taking control!  And in the end, the winner of this race is....

"...well, both of them!  Who woulda thought?"

CereVows2.jpg (8686 bytes) You can't say she doesn't look happy.  Two things you can't see in this photo:

1)  In Gini's bouquet there was a small glass eye — an in-joke from the internet.  It was the "Eye Of Doom" that all of the bridesmaids, as the evil Furies of Greek mythology, shared.  It was kinda ugly, but it made me laugh.

2)  You can't see Betty Ann, the Justice Of The Peace.  We got along like a house on fire, and she actually cried during the ceremony because of our vows.  She had a hell of a sense of humor, and people kept asking us where we knew her from.   The answer was the phone book, but I hope she gets to see these pictures eventually.
